Artwork Armand Tatossian 24’’ x 30’’
Born in Alexandria, Egypt on September 26, 1951, Armand Tatossian comes from a family of artists. His grandfather Armenague was a painter and curator at the Alexandria Museum. His uncle, Yeghiche Tatossian, who was a landscape painter, brought the Post-Impressionist style back to Armenia after studying it in Paris. His father, Charles Garo Tatossian, who survived him, is a painter in Montreal.
Armand Tatossian’s work has been featured in numerous exhibitions and has been part of museum collections around the world since 1968. To this day, Armand Tatossian’s works are part of several government and private corporate collections.
His paintings have been exhibited at the Musée du Québec, the National Gallery of Athens in Greece, the Museum of Saint-Lazare in Italy, the Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Armenia, the Presidential Library in Washington in the United States. United and at the Armenian Museum of America in Massachusetts. The national galleries of Canada, Washington, Chicago and Boston have also presented his paintings.
He died on August 23, 2012 in Montreal.
